Kirk Hammerton is a pretty rural village in North Yorkshire, partly bordered to the North by the A59 and partly by the River Nidd to the South and East. It is situated almost perfectly equidistant between York and Harrogate and is connected to them by the A59 and the Leeds-York railway line. According to the 2011 Census there were 538 residents.
